Portugal's D2 Visa is designed for entrepreneurs, business owners and investors looking to establish, acquire or expand a business in Portugal while obtaining legal residency.
Unlike passive or remote-work visas, the D2 is based on active business involvement and contribution to the Portuguese economy. It offers a legal pathway to long-term residency and, ultimately, Portuguese citizenship.
Requirements
What you need to qualify.
Passport Photos
Valid passport photos with a minimum of 6 months left.
Financial proof (Bank/Financial Statements)
Evidence of savings exceeding €11,040 EUR as an individual. An additional €5,520 EUR when adding a spouse, and €3,132 EUR when adding dependent children.
Utility Bill
Proof of current address.
Marriage Certificates
Required when adding a spouse.
Birth Certificates
Required when adding dependent children.
